Tuition Waivers and Graduate Assistantships

All eligible full-time graduate students receive tuition waivers.   Teaching and research assistantships are awarded to eligible to full-time graduate students each year. As of Sept. 2008, the graduate assistantship stipend level will be $30,000 per year. Graduate students with an O.D. degree and a NYS optometric license may also apply for part-time clinical appointments.

Students admitted to the O.D./Ph.D. or the O.D./M.S. program also receive a full tuition waiver for the Graduate program.  In addition, O.D./Ph.D. students receive a tuition waiver at the level of a New York State resident for the last two years of the professional O.D. program.
