ALL New York State licensed Optometrists are REQUIRED to take this course from an approved provider once every four (4) years. The course counts for general continuing education (CE) credit but does NOT count towards the thirty-six (36) CE hours that are required to maintain your New York TPA license.
NYS Approved Infection Control Course
The course is intended to educate the optometrist on the appropriate infection control protocols for the optometric office. The course will review appropriate methods of infection control practice including instrument disinfection, universal precautions, disposal of infectious materials and OSHA regulations which apply to optometric practice.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be instructed to pay by credit card and then MUST print out your certificate immediately as you will be unable to return to that page.
A grade of seventy percent (70%) or higher is required in order to receive your certificate.
