Comparison of LCD Versus “e-ink” Digital Displays
Why we are doing this study:
We are trying to compare the differences in reading from two types of tablet devices.
Who can be in the study:
People 18 to 30 years old with best corrected vision of at least 20/20 and no eye turns or eye disease.
What the study involves:
There are two 45-minute visits for this study. During the visit we will:
- Ask you to read random words from one of the devices for 30 minutes continuously
- Record you while you are reading in order to measure your reading speed.
- Ask you to fill out a short questionnaire about symptoms during the visit.
Will you directly benefit from the study?
Being in this study won't directly benefit you but it may help us learn more about the differences in these kinds of tablet devices.
Other things you should know about the study:
- You will be paid $50 for your participation in the two visits for this study.
