After completing his Residency in Vision Therapy at SUNY in 1995, Dr. Deutscher joined the staff of the University Optometric Center, where he has supervised patient care in several clinics, including Vision Therapy, Children with Special Needs, and Infant Vision. He served on the Admissions Committee for eleven years.
In addition to patient care and clinical teaching at the College, Dr. Deutscher was integral in the establishment of two UEC satellite clinics: PS 169 in Manhattan, and the Optometry clinic at the Ezra Medical Center in Brooklyn.
A lifelong New York resident, Dr. Deutscher has also practiced in lower Manhattan since 1995.
