Dr. Galstian jointed the College in 1997 as an Assistant Clinical Professor. He received a BS in Finance from New York University in 1987, and earned his OD from SUNY Optometry in 1991.
Previously, Dr. Galstian served as President and Board member of the Optometric Society of the City of New York.
For the past six years, Dr. Galstian has worked at Cumberland Diagnostic in Brooklyn, New York where he instructs students from SUNY Downstate Medical College.
In addition to this position at the College, Dr. Galstian practices in a large group ophthalmologic and optometric practice on Long Island. Before joining the College faculty, he practiced at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He annually lectured to the Ophthalmology Residents of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Galstian has participated in several optometric missions in Mexico.
He is been a member of the NYSOA and the AOA for the past twenty-four years.
