Clinical signs and symptoms aid in refining differential diagnoses, and occur as a consequence of the response of the eye and body to internal and external insult. How the body and eye responds provides clues as to the etiology, most appropriate management and the expected clinical course of the disease. Through a series of clinical cases, this course will provide examples of eye diseases wherein knowledge of clinical immunology assists in understanding the clinical presentation, diagnosis, pathogenesis, and management of various diseases of the eye and body.
