This program, held at the College on four Sunday mornings throughout the year, offers an assortment of topics. Four hours of COPE & CE Broker approved continuing education credits are offered at each event.

Part I: Is Your Young Patient Visually Ready for School? -Dr. Andrea Thau
This course will cover the visual assessment and management of the school-age child. The course also will include clinical pearls and practice management strategies.
Part II: Is Your Young Patient Ready for School, Current Treatment Options– Dr. Marilyn Vricella
This course provides eye care practitioners a thorough understanding of the current treatment of some common child hood conditions. An age based refractive error guideline on when and how to prescribe is reviewed. Evidence based management options are also discussed. The Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group’s Amblyopia Treatment Stud ies (ATS) will be reviewed. Also the results from the Convergence Insufficiency Treatment Trial Investigator Group, A Randomized Clinical Trial of Treatments for Symptomatic Convergence Insufficiency in Children (CITT) will be discussed.
