The Glaucoma Symposium addresses current issues in glaucoma followed by a Q&A and discussion. New topics in the diagnosis, therapy and management of glaucoma are emphasized. This Sunday event offers six hours of COPE & CE Broker approved continuing education credits.

8:00am - 10:00am Session I: Glaucoma Diagnosis
This course will discuss new concepts related to the diagnosis of glaucoma. Included will be a discussion Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and how to evaluate the printout from the device, common artifacts associated with OCT testing that can confound the clinician, and how to integrate imaging into clinical practice. Also, a discussion on the appearance of different optic nerves will take place.
10:30 am - 12:30 pm Session II: New Ideas in Glaucoma Therapy
This course will explore new developments related to glaucoma therapy. Included will be a discussion on generic medications, recent advances in medical and surgical therapy and an overview of how glaucoma knowledge has advanced over the past decade.
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm Session III: Glaucoma Diagnosis and Management
This course will explore new issues related to the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. Topics will include the role of imaging in es-tablishing the diagnosis, when SLT is indicated for therapy, and how the role of preservative free agents in managing glaucoma. Also, a series of cases will be presented to illustrate many of the principles discussed during the meeting.
