Program Description
At Eyeworks students will find a strong emphasis upon contact lenses, including all types of soft, toric, and multifocal lenses. Scleral lens fitting capability allows us to deal with keratoconnus and pellucid cases effectively. Additionally we have instituted a vision therapy program staffed by an occupational therapist. On average, students will encounter 60% routine refractive cases, 15% ocular disease cases, 15% binocular vision cases. Twenty percent of cases at Eyeworks are contact-related. Eyeworks’ patients range in age from infancy to 94 years of age, with the average patient age at 46 years. Males and females equally make up the patient population.

Clinic Information
Our staff consists of five ABO certified opticians, all well versed in the use of the latest digital technology, including the Optikam fitting system, housed in our recently redesigned boutique.  We have a well established relationship with Greenfield Eye and Lasik, a nearby lasik and cataract referral center, and Arthur Walsh M.D. a retinal surgeon for co-management of retinal patients.

An externship with Eyeworks offers a firm grounding in the business principles of an optometric practice; externs will attend both our weekly staff meeting, which allows us to improve efficiency and facilitates an in-depth discussion of patient satisfaction concerns, and our weekly management meeting, and are expected to provide input. Through membership in the Cleinman Performance Systems Practice Enhancement Program, our office stays abreast of the latest technology and management concepts based on round table discussion and peer evaluation.

Located in scenic Keene, New Hampshire for thirty-five years, Eyeworks is a 3500 sq. ft., state -of-the-art office equipped with 1 pre-testing room, 1 special testing room, 5 exam lanes, 1 contact lens training room, 1 business office, and 1 contact lens inventory room. The office is home to all the newest technology including Topography Cirrus OCT, Optos, Kowa retinal camera, diopsys VEP and Humphrey Visual Fields. Named the Best Eye Care Office in the region for the last thirteen years, Eyeworks was the first office in New Hampshire to acquire the Cirrus OCT and the Zeiss iProfiler, and the second to utilize the Diopsys VEP. We make extensive use of iPad technology through Eyemaginations and Docpies that integrate with Officemate and Examwriter. Our twenty-eight computers network with a one gigabyte system, just recently upgraded for maximum efficiency.
