Program Description
Naval Base Ventura County has a busy optometry clinic located within a regional branch medical center.  Patients seen by the Optometry Clinic are primarily routine exams and contact lens services but include acute and therapeutic cases as well.  Patients are drawn from active duty, family of active duty, and retired Department of Defense populations.  Age range is from infant to geriatric.  Full scope optometric care is delivered within the clinic and necessary ancillary testing and consults are coordinated andordered by Optometry as needed.  Because the Port Hueneme Clinic is a Branch Clinic, some advanced medical and optometric patient care is referred to larger area facilities.
