Application Fee

The application fee is $75 for the PhD or MS program. Combined program OD/MS or OD/PhD applicants, who have previously paid an OD application fee are not required to  pay any application fee.

You are expected to have met two or more potential advisers and to have discussed possible research projects with them. Please list your preferred adviser(s) and describe a possible project. It is acceptable to list only one adviser; in that case you may still be admitted to the MS program even if your first choice for an adviser is not available, but it is easier to find you a match if you list at least two. Listing a 2nd and/or 3rd choice does not decrease your chances of working with your first choice.


 

What would you like to work on? Describe the problem and how you would address it. Why is the problem important? What data (if any) would you collect? What salient facts or ideas have you already learned fro m exploratory reading? Why is this problem interesting to you (max. one sentence)? Please be specific to show that you’ve thought about your question and discussed it with a faculty member.
