Catherine Pace Watson received her Bachelor of Science from Fordham University and her Doctor of Optometry from SUNY College of Optometry in 1986 where she is now Chief of Staff.
As Chief of Staff, she is responsible for the overall patient care in the University Eye Center. She is also responsible for development of professional and clinical standards within the University Eye Center and appropriate satellites.
Dr. Watson‘s clinical duties include Attending Optometrist for the Third and Fourth Year Primary Clinic and Instructor of Record for the Emergency Care Course. She has also in the past been an Instructor for Second Year Clinical Methods Course and an Instructor of Record for “Refractive and Binocular Case Analysis.”
In addition, she is the Training Coordinator for Electronic Health Record (HER), where she develops training materials and implements training programs on a continuing basis for all clinical faculty, residents and interns, using the EHR.
Dr. Watson is a member of the AOA, NYSOA and President of the SUNY CO Chapter, NYSOA since 2003.
