It is the policy of SUNY College of Optometry to extend to students and faculty, absences from classes and clinics for the observance of religious holidays. Planned absences from clinics, for religious observances, should be made by notification to the appropriate Clinic Chief, Clinic Manager, Department Chair and the Executive Director of the University Optometric Center in order for appropriate adjustments to be made to the clinic schedules. Planned absences from classes, for religious observances should be by notification to the appropriate instructors and the Dean of Academic Affairs in order that appropriate adjustments can be made to the class schedules. Student absences: a)clinics must be made up, b) responsible for materials presented in class and laboratory.
