With research moving at a meteoric pace, and print and digital information moving just as fast, it may be difficult to keep on top of what's happening in your field of interest.
At the Kohn Library, we're always looking for ways for the information you want to find YOU. Toward that end, we have put together a number of alerting services that can bring the information to your e-mail or desktop. These services can be customized to deliver the Table of Contents of many journals as soon (and in some cases before) the journal even appears. Many will include full-text links. Some of these services will run automated searches for you, letting you know whenever new research has been done in your area of interest.
Also, be sure to stay up-to-date on all the latest in eye and vision health with the daily news feed in From the Headlines.
For more information or help setting up any of these services, please contact Ms. Elaine Wells at ext. 5691.
- My NCBI - an alerting service for PubMed
- BioMail - closed, please move your searches to My NCBI (PubMed)
- PubCrawler - alerting service for PubMed and GenBank
- RSS Feed - Download a free "Feedreader" here. (Note: RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary". We'll help you personalize your RSS feed to stream health and medical news, automatc PubMed searches, and even journal Table of Contents right to your desktop.)
