Library resources cannot be renewed by telephone. All renewal transactions must be carried out in person at the Circulation Desk.

About the Reserve Collection

Reserve Materials

In most cases, reserve materials are to be used within the Library for a period of 2 hours. When more than one copy of a book is on reserve, the extra copies can be checked out for overnight use but must be reserved in advance.

Books can be reserved for overnight use up to 6 days in advance, and reservations must be made between 8AM and 9:30PM Monday through Friday. Reservations cannot be made on weekends.

Reserve materials cannot be renewed.

Books that have been reserved for overnight use may be picked up and must be returned according to the following schedule.

Individuals who have reserved books for overnight use but have NOT picked them up by 6:30PM forfeit their right to the reservation.

Books cannot be reserved for Saturday or Sunday pick-up. However, books available for overnight loan that have not been taken may be checked out on Saturdays and/or Sundays, but must be returned by Monday at 12 noon.

Please note that due dates cannot be waived for inclement weather or personal circumstances.

Copy 1 of any book cannot be taken from the Library for any reason.

Fines and Fees

Any item lost by a borrower, whether faculty, staff or student, will incur the cost to the Library of replacing the item, plus a $25.00 processing fee. In the case of items which are no longer printed or published, the replacement will be an item as equivalent as possible in content and available through standard ordering procedures of the Library.

All fines must be paid by the end of the quarter in which they are incurred. Students with outstanding fines will not be permitted to borrow materials until fines have been paid.
