As the University does not have its own bookstore, the following places may be of local help to the college community.

    116 East 59th Street (between Lexington & Park Avenues)
    specializes in old and rare books including the history of science & medicine, antique maps & prints, and autographs

  • Gotham Book Mart
    16 East 46th Street (between Fifth and Madision Avenues)
    since 1920, specializing in the literary arts, first editions, out-of-print/rare books and featuring a gallery on the third floor

  • Rizzoli Bookstore
    31 West 57th Street (between Fifth & Sixth Avenues)
    housed in a landmark building offering quality art, architecture, travel and photography books

  • Strand Book Store
    828 Broadway (and 12th Street)
    popular for their wall-to-wall inventory of new/used and rare/signed books

Theater / Performance Discounts

Many performing arts organizations provide discounts to students with valid ID's.
Some also set aside a limited number of discounted tickets for same-day performance sale (known as rush tickets).

The library receives discount coupons to various Broadway and off-Broadway shows courtesy of the School Theatre Ticket Program.
