We are especially proud to introduce our new Image Bank and Clinical Point of Care sections. Eyesites - This is SUNY State College of Optometry's gateway to Internet sites related to optometry, ophthalmology, vision science, and general health. While we do our best to add sites that are relevant to the work of the College, the list is by no means exhaustive. Please let us know if you have additional ideas for inclusion.
Image Bank - These digital images are brought together from a wide variety of medical and educational sites. Each site is searchable, and most images can be used for educational purposes. (Note: please be sure to check the "terms of use" section on each site to ensure copyright compliance.)
Clinical Point of Care - In response to requests by clinicians, we have pulled together searchable reference tools such as the Wills Eye Manual, pharmaceutical information, and other resources for quick consultation during patient encounters.
Electronic Journals - In addition to our ScienceDirect collection of almost 2000 electronic journals, we purchase online access for many of our print journals and are always on the lookout for open access or other free journals that will be of interest to the College Community.
Electronic Databases - These databases will lead you to articles and other resources in vision science, medicine, psychology, education, business, and more. If you need help devising a search, or would prefer to have a Librarian conduct the search for you, just call Elaine Wells at ext. 5691.
Print Journals - In addition to our many electronic journals, the Library continues to house print copies of most journals in the vision science field. Remember that not everything is available electronically; if you can't find a journal on our electronic journals page, we may well have the print copy right here in the Library.
Copyright Guides - A selection of information on copyright particularly geared toward academic institutions. Topics covered include fair use, educational guidelines, and regulations governing digital copies of copyrighted material.
