As the University does not have its own bookstore, the following places may be of local help to the college community.

    specializes in old and rare books including the history of science and medicine, antique maps and prints and autographs
  • Rizzoli Bookstore
    31 West 57th St (between Fifth and Sixth Ave)
    housed in a landmark building offering quality art, architecture, travel and photography books
  • Strand Book Store
    828 Broadway (and 12th St)
    popular for their wall-to-wall inventory of new/used and rare/signed books

Theater / Performance Discounts

Many performing-arts organizations provide discounts to students with valid IDs.
Some also set aside a limited number of discounted tickets for same-day performance sale known as rush tickets.

The library receives discount coupons to various Broadway and off-Broadway shows courtesy of the School Theatre Ticket Program.
