The primary function of the Media Services Center is to provide the following instructional support services to the Faculty of the State College of Optometry:

  • Distribute and maintain general classroom audio-visual equipment:
    • Overhead Projectors
    • Computer Carts
    • TV/ VCRs
    • DVDs
    • Slide Projectors
    • Research, evaluate and integrate new technology into the classroom
    • Microphones
    • Smart Classrooms
    • Document Cameras
    • Teleconferencing
    • LCD Projectors
    • General Audio-Visual Equipment
  • Encourage, assist and advise faculty in the use of instructional technology
  • Design creative, instructional, informational and general public relations material in various media formats:
    • Slides
    • Transparencies
    • Video
    • Audio
    • CD-R
    • Flatbed Scanning
    • 35mm Slide Scanning
    • Presentation Software

AUTHORIZATION FORMS:
All incoming work requests must be accompanied by a signed authorization form. The Department Chair (or other relevant supervisor) of the individual requesting work must sign each form and information must be provided as to the nature and volume of work requested.
