Media Center Manager
- Bret Boudi (938-5727)

The Media Center manager will oversee the entire department day-to-day operations and will delegate workloads to the Media staff: instructional support, scheduling, maintenance / repairs, reservation requests and service calls.

The Media Center Manager will continue to work with the University Police and the Facilities Departments with ongoing projects, as well as the auditorium’s new automation system that will be installed and programmed by the Media Center.

The Media Center manager will train and instruct the Media staff on all A/ V systems as needed to ensure proper instruction to faculty / staff and or

emergency repair to keep all automation systems in the lecture halls and auditorium running without interruption of scheduled classes or events.

The Media Center manager will report to upper management and to the respectful department heads of the College with regards to progress reports on installations and projects.

Media Specialist - Ruben Cuevas, (938-5726)

The Media specialist will have various duties at the Media Center.

The Media specialist will be responsible for all graphic services for faculty/ staff during high demand periods for posters or any other graphic requests. The Media specialist will request to the manager for additional support.  This support would come from outside resources or within the College of Optometry.

The Media specialist will also assist in day-to-day operations: reservations, scheduling, instructional support, mobile A/V setups, ID cards and dispatching for service calls and emergency repairs to the electronic technician and/ or the manager of the Media Center.

Electronic Automation Technician (formally A/V Specialist)- James Warren (938-5725)

The electronic technician will be fully experienced in automation controls, audio video and low voltage integration systems.

The electronic technician will be responsible for instructional support for all lecture halls, auditorium and mobile A/V Systems throughout the Campus.

The electronic technician will conduct all maintenance, repairs and upgrades for all lecture halls and other low voltage systems within the College of Optometry.

The electronic technician will ensure that all lecture halls are well stocked with batteries, bulbs and all other parts needed.

The electronic technician will be fully qualified in diagnostics and troubleshooting on all automation systems and will assist the manager on projects from installations to service repairs.

During the absence of the Media Center manager, the electronic technician will be in charge of day-to-day operations and will coordinate the workload with the media specialist.
