Dr. Donald Korb, Dr. Caroline Blackie Share Dry Eye Expertise with SUNY Optometry

SUNY Optometry’s University Eye Center hosted a workshop and lunch and learn lecture on meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) and dry eye diagnosis and management and featuring Drs. Donald Korb and Caroline Blackie on Tuesday, November 29.

Dr. Korb has named ten ocular conditions, including MGD, giant papillary conjunctivitis, and lip wiper epitheliopathy, and authored more than 80 refereed journal publications. Dr. Blackie has worked closely with Dr. Korb for many years and authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications on dry eye.

Faculty, residents, and fourth-year students were offered hands-on experience with the latest technology for evaluating and managing MGD during the morning workshop. Third-year students were also invited to join the lunch lecture.
