SUNY Plays Large Role at American Optometric Association’s Congressional Advocacy Conference
A large contingent of SUNY College of Optometry students and alumni met with lawmakers in Washington, DC last April as part of the American Optometric Association's 2014 Congressional Advocacy Conference.
SUNY Spirit Shines at VisionWalk 2014
Over 170 students, faculty and staff participated in VisionWalk 2014, raising thousands of dollars for the Foundation Fighting Blindness and winning the “Overall Spirit Award” in the process.

Alumnus Provides Substantial Support for the Vision and the Promise Campaign
Alumnus, Dr. Mark Feder, a member of the Class of 1983, and his wife Sherrie have provided support to develop a new endowed scholarship for SUNY Optometry students.
Support to Enhance Optical Services for Students and Patients
Essilor has provided SUNY Optometry's optical lens fabricating laboratory with a new optical lens edger known as "Mr. Blue" that will help to ensure that its optical operations remains an innovative, state-of-the-art facility for both students at the College and patients in the University Eye Center.
Grants Totaling Up to $1.5 Million Awarded for CVRC Research
The SUNY Research Foundation signed agreements with several industry partners recently that will enable the SUNY College of Optometry to move ahead on a series of clinical research projects designed to improve and enhance eye and vision health in both children and adults.
