Clinical Faculty Positions

The State University of New York College of Optometry, and its teaching clinic, the University Eye Center, seeks applicants for full time clinical faculty positions with emphasis in primary care and contact lenses.  While the primary responsibilities of clinical faculty are clinical teaching and patient care, the successful candidate will be expected to engage in scholarly activity such as sponsored clinical research or the development of innovations in clinical education or professional practice. Candidates must be New York State licensed or license eligible ODs typically with residency training, equivalent experience or an advanced degree.

The SUNY College of Optometry seeks to develop a vibrant intellectual community of collaborating clinicians, teachers and researchers working together on educational and research projects. The University Eye Center is organized into clinical services dedicated to different eye and vision disorders and has one of the largest, most diverse, optometric patient bases in the country. The College of Optometry and University Eye Center are situated in the center of Manhattan’s scientific, medical and cultural community.
