Clinical Faculty Positions

The State University of New York College of Optometry, and its teaching clinic, the University Eye Center, seeks applicants for full time clinical faculty positions in several areas on tenure and non-tenure tracks. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. All positions will have joint appointments to college departments and clinical services as appropriate. While the primary responsibilities of clinical faculty include clinical teaching and patient care, successful candidates will engage in scholarly activity such as sponsored clinical research or the development of innovations in clinical education or professional practice. Candidates must be New York State licensed or license eligible ODs, typically with residency training, equivalent experience, or an advanced degree.

The SUNY College of Optometry seeks to develop a vibrant intellectual community of collaborating clinicians, teachers and researchers working together on educational and research projects. The University Eye Center is organized into clinical services dedicated to different eye and vision disorders and has one of the largest, most diverse, optometric patient bases in the country. The College of Optometry and University Eye Center are situated in the center of Manhattan’s scientific, medical and cultural community. A competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience, will be provided.
