Call Center Representative

The University Eye Center of the State University of New York College of Optometry is currently seeking a candidate with exceptional customer service skills to facilitate the efficient processing of patients via our Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management Systems. Responsibilities include: handling patient inquiries, appointment scheduling, registration, insurance verification, managed care and referral processing, and the provision of general University Eye Center (UEC) and College information to the public.  Call Center Representatives serve as liaison between our patients and other departments within the UEC, and work collaboratively with others to provide patients with a quality experience.

The hours for this position are: 
Monday - Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

To qualify, you must have a minimum of one year experience in call center/healthcare/customer service. Managed care/third party payor knowledge and/or Associate degree preferred. Bilingual skills desirable.  Computer proficiency required.
