Clinical Systems Administrator
The State University of New York College of Optometry is accepting applications for this position which will be responsible for administering and overseeing all clinical based information systems, including the practice management and electronic health record systems utilized in the University Eye Center, the patient care facility of the College. Activities will include developing, evaluating, implementing and performing technical support on all clinical based information systems.
Candidates must have 3-5 years experience in health care information systems technology. A Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration will be required. Additional qualifications include: excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical and project management skills; experience with the following: electronic health records systems, preferably Allscripts Enterprise EHR (Touchworks); practice management systems, preferably GE Healthcare Centricity Business (IDX-Flowcast): Scheduling, BAR, PCS, DBMS; Microsoft SQL Server; Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Crystal Reports, Microsoft Windows Server and Citrix a plus.
