CLINICAL SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

The State University of New York College of Optometry is accepting applications for this position which will be responsible for administering and overseeing all clinical based information systems, including the practice management and electronic health record system utilized in the University Eye Center, the patient care facility of the College.  Activities will include developing, evaluating, implementing and performing technical support on all clinical based information systems.

Candidates must have 3-5 years experience in health care information systems technology.  A Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration is required.  Additional qualifications include: excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical and project management skills.  Experience with the following: clinical based information systems, including electronic health records systems and practice management systems, NextGen preferred; Microsoft SQL Server; Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Office.  Knowledge of Crystal Reports, Microsoft Windows Server and Citrix are a plus.
