Clinical Systems Analyst
The State University of New York College of Optometry is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to provide first line technical support on technology related problems for all clinical based information systems, including the practice management and electronic health record systems utilized in the University Eye Center, the patient care facility of the College. In addition, work with Clinical and Operational staff to understand the users' application-specific requirements and configuration and identify the common causes of the issues. Activities will also include updating system tables and dictionaries, developing and updating documentation, running query reports and conducting systems analysis, provide training and conducting system backups, maintenance and upgrades.
Candidates must have an Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred with a minimum of three years of professional experience in computer, network, and printer troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities at the hardware and software levels in an health care/academic medical center environment. Additional qualifications include: excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical and customer service skills; experience with the following: practice management systems; electronic health record systems; Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Windows Server and Citrix a plus.
