College Council (2012 – 2013)
The Council is appointed by the governor with one member elected by and from the student
body of the SUNY College of Optometry. In accordance with statutes and policies established
by the State University of New York Board of Trustees, this Council advises the president on the
operations and affairs of SUNY Optometry. The members also serve an essential role in the
selection of the College’s president. They receive no compensation for their services.

Optometric Center of New York Board of Trustees (2012 – 2013 Academic Year)
The work of the Optometric Center of New York has attracted a dedicated cadre of people who
serve as its Board of Trustees. This group of men and women brings expertise in business, law,
commerce, finance, real estate and philanthropy to their roles as caretakers of the Foundation’s
endowment and supporters of its mission. Trustees serve three-year terms and make an annual
financial commitment to the OCNY.
