Hurricane Sandy unleashed unprecedented damage and destruction to our region and left many of our friends and neighbors in need. While we were very fortunate at the University Eye Center not to have sustained any long-term damage, the UEC and the SUNY College of Optometry did suffer from some communications disruption in the wake of the storm, specifically with our phone system. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused to our patients during this difficult time and we want to assure you that all of our systems are now fully operational. We hope to continue to serve your entire eye and vision care needs.
While things are back to normal at the UEC we recognize that our community is still suffering and we’re here to help. If you have suffered any eye-health related storm damage as a result of Hurricane Sandy (including lost or damaged eyeglasses or contact lenses), please call us at 888-416-9933 and we will try to help you.
As a premier healthcare provider in the region we want to stand alongside our neighbors and help our community fully recover from this tragedy.
