Dr. Adamczyk has been the director of residency education at the SUNY College of Optometry since 1999, where she is also a professor. She began her career in 1986 in private practice, as a Low Vision consultant, and as an assistant clinical professor at the College. Dr. Adamczyk is also a visiting faculty member at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree, from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1985, and 1982 respectively. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from Villanova University, 1981. Dr. Adamczyk lectures nationally and internationally on ocular pharmacology, glaucoma, infectious disease control and prevention in optometric practice, headaches, and professional development related topics.
