Bio

Dr. Marilyn Vricella is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Pediatrics and Infant Vision department of the University Eye Center. She received her Doctor of Optometry from SUNY College of Optometry and upon graduation received the Dr. F.W. Brock Memorial Award, Dr. S. Eisenberg Memorial Award and the Dr. M. Cohen Memorial Award.
Dr. Vricella completed her residency in Pediatrics and Infant Vision at SUNY College of Optometry before joining the College as a faculty member. She is a fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Vricella is a clinical instructor in the Pediatric Department of the University Eye Center where she provides pediatric patient care and is also a clinical instructor. She is the pediatric optometry residency supervisor and she mentors and provides professional guidance and clinical supervision to two pediatric optometry residents.
Additionally she is the Principal Investigator for the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group and is involved in multiple research studies. Dr. Vricella serves as the American Optometric Association Faculty and Student Membership Liaison. Dr. Vricella has lectured both nationally and internationally in the areas of pediatrics and binocular vision and has numerous professional publications.
