
Dr. Harry Koster, a Swiss-American Board-Certified ophthalmologist, has been in practice for 10 years. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University in biochemistry and his medical degree from The University of Texas at Dallas.
Following medical school, Dr. Koster finished his internship at New York Hospital/Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, Cornell University , and completed his residency at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He also had the distinction of being a Cornea Fellow at the prestigious Hotel-Dieu in Paris, France, followed by a year of fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard University.
While Dr. Koster was a Cornea Fellow in Paris , he performed many refractive surgery procedures that were only approved in the United States years later. He has continued to be at the forefront of LASIK and laser vision correction technology since the early nineties and is currently a medical consultant to companies devising new ways to map out corneal topography.
Dr. Koster has published numerous clinical articles and lectures extensively in the United States and abroad. A Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, he is also a distinguished member of the New York Eye Bank, the International Society of Refractive Keratoplasty, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
