Ocular Disease and Special Testing

Dr. Richard Madonna holds the rank of Associate Professor and currently serves as the Chief of the Ocular Disease and Special Testing Service at the University Optometric Center. He has lectured and written extensively on topics related to ocular disease including transient visual loss, carotid artery disease and stroke, glaucoma, and clinical trials in eyecare. He also serves on the Department of Health Evaluation Committee for therapeutic drug use in New York State. Dr. Madonna is the former Chief of Optometry Section at the VA Medical Center in Castle Point, New York. He was also a partner in a full-scope private optometric practice in New Paltz and Walden, N.Y. Dr. Madonna is a 1985 graduate of SUNY State College of Optometry.
