The Bausch & Lomb Technolas® 217z Zyoptix™ System is the world's leading excimer laser for personalized vision correction. Zyoptix maps thousands of data points as it scans your cornea - giving your doctor a fully detailed, three-dimensional picture of its unique shape and characteristics. Its innovative "flying spot" technology produces an extremely smooth corneal surface and unlike current standard lasers, it uses a state-of-the-art feedback mechanism that ensures every pulse is placed exactly as prescribed.
Because the Laser Eye Institute is right on site at the University Optometric Center , our patients receive "seamless" care, from their initial consultation through to their post-surgical visit. Most important, the staff consists of highly skilled and experienced optometrists, opthalmologists and technicians. All of our surgeons are LASIK specialists and have performed thousands of procedures.
