Physical Accessibility and Accommodations

The SUNY College of Optometry is committed to ensuring full and equal access to all its facilities. This website will be updated to reflect current activity that would impact disability access.

The following accommodations are available, including:

  • Assistive technologies, including assistive listening devices
  • Voice annunciator in public-use elevators for floor announcements and floor buttons with Braille and raised lettering
  • Interpreting services, including video remote interpreting for sign language
  • Accessible entryways with push buttons, push bars or other special door hardware to open doors
  • Special holding rooms in the event of an emergency

Additional Student-specific accommodations, including:

  • Recording of lectures
  • Notetaking services
  • Testing modifications
