Bio

Tracy Nguyen joined the SUNY College of Optometry in January 2013. She received her OD degree from University of Houston College of Optometry in 1999. Thereafter, she worked as a research optometrist for 4 years in the Borish Center for Ophthalmic Research at Indiana University School of Optometry. She then went on to receive her PhD in Vision Science under the guidance of Dr. Joseph Bonanno. Her principle research interest is corneal physiology and ocular surface pathology. She is currently an associate professor at SUNY teaching didactic courses in the optometry and graduate program, supervising students and residents in the primary care clinic and conducting clinical research in the area of ocular surface disorders such as dry eye and contact lenses related complications.
