Yao Chen

Postdoctoral student at SUNY Optometry

Dr. Chen obtained a B.S. in biology from Beijing University of China and a Ph.D. from the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He continued his research as postdoctoral student, first at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and then at SUNY College of Optometry. His main interest is to understand the neuronal mechanisms of visual processing in the brain. Currently, he is studying the neuronal mechanisms underlying visual attention and task difficulty within the primary visual cortex.
