NEW YORK, August 7, 2017 – More than 700 New Yorkers attended Health and Wellness Expo 2017, University Eye Center’s open house, on Saturday, August 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at SUNY College of Optometry in midtown Manhattan.

Attendees of all ages, including children and senior citizens, had access to free vision, dental, podiatry, audiology, blood pressure, and diabetes screenings, wellness activities, and public health information to promote healthy behavior changes and reduce risk factors for disease.

“While eye and vision care is University Eye Center’s passion, our Health and Wellness Expo brings together a variety of community partners to improve and enhance the lives of others,” says Liduvina Martinez-Gonzalez, executive director for University Eye Center.

Exhibitors included New York Sports Club, 42nd Street Dental, New York College of Podiatric Medicine, Columbia Presbyterian Audiology, Lifeways Nutrition, Essilor Eyewear Center, and Sports and Performance Vision Center. There was also face painting, storytelling, and back-to-school supplies for children.
