Wear Red Day 2016

The SUNY Optometry community recognized the 13th Annual National Wear Red Day for Women, an American Heart Association campaign designed to bring awareness to the leading causes of death for women – heart disease and stroke—on Friday, February 5.

Community Outreach Coordinator Ms. Marinel Pena and SUNY Optometry’s student chapter of the American Public Health Association spearheaded the College’s efforts to create a sea of red in the community and provided educational displays on heart disease and stroke in the lobby.
