SUNY COLLEGE OF OPTOMETRY LEADERSHIP College Council The Council is appointed by the governor with one member elected by and from the student body of the SUNY College of Optometry. In accordance with statutes and policies established by the State University of New York Board of Trustees, this Council advises the president on the operations and affairs of SUNY Optometry. The members also serve an essential role in the selection of the College’s president. They receive no compensation for their services.
