Alumni Association, Optometric Center of New York to Merge The Alumni Association of SUNY Optometry and the Optometric Center of New York (OCNY), the College’s affiliated foundation, have agreed to a merger. Under the agreement, the Alumni Association will maintain its identity without the burden of having to independently raise funds to support its programs. This transformation will enable the Alumni Association focus on building a robust platform of professional, educational, and social activities. OCNY and the Alumni Association will make a joint application for approval by the Board of Regents of the State of New York in 2017. 43
