Spot Vision Screener Study (SVS)

This study is now closed.

Why we are doing this study:
This study will be evaluating a new handheld, portable vision screening device that quickly gathers eye measurements in various populations.

Who can be in the study?
You may be eligible to participate if you are between ages 4 to 100 years and have one or both eyes with a refractive error between -8.00D sphere to +10.00D sphere.
Further screening questions will be asked prior to scheduling an appointment.

What the study involves:
Participants will be screened with assessments typical of an eye examination to verify that the eye(s) meet the requirements of the study.
Eligible participants will have one or both eyes measured by the device, and those meeting specific criteria will be dilated and measured a second time.
The entire visit is expected to take up to 2 hours.

Will you directly benefit from the study?
There is not expected to be any direct benefit.

Other things you should know about the study:
Participants will be compensated up to $100. There are specific requirements for contact lens wearers leading up to the visit.
