Bio
Dr. Asima Cuevas is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the College of Optometry where she teaches clinical skills and supervises interns in the
Primary Eye Care Clinic at the University Eye Center. She has done poster presentations on LASIK and glaucoma at the American Academy of Optometry. She has volunteered for the vision screening program, “Opening Eyes,” at the New York Special Olympics, a vision screening program for multiple sclerosis at the MS walkathon in New York City and led Vision screenings for Lions Club in New Jersey. Dr. Cuevas is a 2001 graduate of the State University of New York College of Optometry. Following graduation, she completed a residency in Primary Care Optometry with an emphasis in pediatrics, specialty contact lenses and corneal conditions.
