Bio

Dr. Gleason is an Associate Clinical Professor at SUNY College of Optometry and serves as Program Director for SUNY College of Optometry at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. In this role, she is helping to develop and expand SUNY Optometry’s presence in Upstate New York, with a focus on innovative clinical education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and expanding access to eye care. She joined the faculty at the college following completion of an ocular disease and family practice residency at NYC Health & Hospitals | Gotham Health, East New York, and is a graduate of SUNY College of Optometry. Dr. Gleason’s clinical and research interests include glaucoma and inherited retinal disease. She is actively involved in professional education and lectures nationally and internationally on topics related to ocular disease and clinical care. She also has a strong passion for community outreach and has participated in numerous vision care outreach events and medical service trips both locally and abroad. Through these efforts, she is committed to expanding access to eye care and promoting eye health among diverse and underserved communities.
