STUDENT SUPPORT

Attract academically excellent applicants and provide effective student support programs

  • Strengthen the use of a holistic and evidence-informed approach to recruit and admit excellent students with the skills and potential for success.
  • Increase access to the professional program through tuition support, cost management and financial education, and additional scholarship funding sources
  • Expand marketing efforts that inform and educate undergraduate students about the profession and raise the profile of the College
  • Increase the number of institutions participating in the Joint Degree Program that allows students to complete undergraduate and optometric studies in seven academic years.
  • Promote and measure the use and effectiveness of resources provided by the Center for Teaching and Learning
  • Increase the percentage of professional students who both graduate and become licensed in four years to at least 95%
  • Develop and utilize academic momentum metrics to monitor academic progress
