Welcome to the SUNY College of Optometry Alumni Association
For over 40 years, the Alumni Association has proudly represented the doctors and vision scientists who earned their education at the SUNY College of Optometry. Every graduate, including residents, automatically becomes a member upon completion of their program.
Membership is lifelong for those who remain in good standing by honoring the Optometric Oath taken at graduation, upholding ethical and compliance standards, and following the College’s code of conduct. Members in good standing are also eligible for election to the Alumni Association Board.
Our mission is to support our alumni as they grow, lead, and make a difference in the field of optometry and vision science. While there are no dues or membership fees, we invite all alumni to consider making a financial contribution at any point in their lives. Your support helps us continue to foster a strong, engaged, and thriving alumni community.
Comprised of up to 16 members of the alumni community, the Alumni Association Board provides guidance, advice, and support for Alumni Association sponsored activities. Each elected member serves for a three-year term. Executive Committee members are elected every two years from the active board members.
