Bio

Dr. Azieva earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2023 from SUNY College of Optometry, where she also completed a Master of Vision Science degree in Contact Lens-Induced Dry Eye. She also completed her residency in Primary Eye Care with an emphasis in Ocular Disease at SUNY Optometry and Woodhull Hospital. She currently supervises interns in Dry Eye/Anterior Segment, Primary Care, Contact Lens and Myopia Management clinics, as well as teaching students in Clinical Optometry, Integrative Optics, and Contact Lens laboratories. In addition to teaching and supervising clinical interns and residents, Dr. Azieva actively participates in scholarly activities with a focus on anterior segment and contact lens and has presented at national and international conferences. She has received multiple awards and recognitions including the Hopkins Comprehensive Eye Care Award and the Joe and Janet Barr Cornea and Contact Lens Research Award.
