Nearly 250,000 patient visits each year means that community members rely on SUNY College of Optometry and the University Eye Center for high-quality, accessible vision care. They come from every corner of the city – and even beyond the boroughs – to be able to see better, manage emerging and chronic eye conditions, participate in sight-preserving research, and more.
Unfortunately, the government only pays for a small portion of teaching future optometrists and providing much-needed eye care to the community.. That’s where you come in.
