An immersive experience from the comfort of your own home. The virtual campus tour, led by optometry students and our admissions team, highlights campus features and the overall optometry student experience at SUNY.

Appointments

Please schedule your appointment at least 3 business days (72 hours) in advance. At this time, we are not able to accept walk-in visits.

If for any reason you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please let us know at least 2 business days (48 hours) before your scheduled appointment by emailing our General Admissions email at admissions@sunyopt.edu.

Important to Note: In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, any scheduled in-person visits are subject to cancellation based on updated campus safety policies. At this time, proof of full vaccination status is now required and our current campus safety policy asks the following of in-person visitors:

  • Visitors who are fully vaccinated are asked to submit a photo of both the front and back of your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card upon scheduling your in-person visit and at least 3 business days (72 hours) in advance of your visit by emailing our general admissions email at admissions@sunyopt.edu.
  • Visitors are allotted up to 1 additional guest. If applicable, the guest’s COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, is needed at least 3 business days (72 hours) in advance of your visit by emailing our general admissions email at admissions@sunyopt.edu.
  • Visitors who are fully vaccinated are asked to wear masks and to spatial distance in all areas of the building.
  • If symptoms develop, please stay home. We will be glad to accommodate a future in-person visit once visitors feel healthiest to participate or to accommodate a virtual consultation in place of the originally scheduled in-person visit.

Spring availability for campus tours and counseling sessions (in-person and virtual) are as follows:

  • (In-Person) Tuesdays from 10:00am to 11:00am; 1:00pm to 3:00pm (Eastern Time)
  • (Virtual Only) Fridays from 10:00am to 11:00am; 1:00pm to 3:00pm (Eastern Time)

If none of the above days/times work for you, then you may request a different day/time and we will try our best to accommodate. Business hours are generally from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Monday through Friday.
